Cyclodelic X Houndstooth Road Saddlebag
Our collaboration with Cyclodelic last Summer resulted in a wonderful initial suite of bicycle accessories including this saddlebag.
When Amy first shared her creation with me over one of our Skype chats I remember erupting in laughter - I was so delighted with what she created for us.
We were thrilled that the WSJ felt similarly - especially about Amy’s original Cycling Sports Dress that nabbed the sidebar image of the article.
This bag is so fun and functional it still inspires me, and reminds me that saddle bags need not be made exclusively from black nylon.

Houndstooth Road finding inspiration with Cyclodelic London
A roller coaster is the most apt metaphor for any small business, and especially so this past year. With the sudden rush, twists, turns, climbs, drops and restarts it’s been an exhilarating first year.
I found Amy’s Cyclodelic brand after a fruitless search within the United States for hand-crafted and stylish bicycle accessories to compliment our bicycle range. I happened upon her hand-sewn tool pouch that she whipped up in a silver faux snakeskin with a violet lining, and it was so amazing that I threatened to contact her every day until she allowed us to carry her range in the States. Thankfully, she did not have Scotland Yard enforce some kind of restraining order, and joined with me at the inception of the company.
Thank you Amy
Abici Pantone limited edition bicycle in Giallo with CxH limited saddle bag
Fell in love with the timeless grace of Italian loop frame designs, so brought Abici bicycles to Atlanta in 2011. While Kate Spade was ebullient about green, and Fendi was exuberant for creme, we were completely enchanted with this yellow that looked freshly picked from a lemon tree in Amalfi, and perfectly refreshing for a hot Atlanta summer.
This is also the bicycle that taught me how single speeds and coaster brakes were the perfect antipasti to a mid-summer al fresco Italian meal with a refreshing glass of crisp white wine.
Cyclodelic London for Houndstooth Road Saddle Bag.
What’s not to love about a hand-sewn, water resistant bicycle saddlebag produced with our favorite pattern just for us, lined in pink, fitted with golden clasps - especially when it quickly converts to a shoulder bag?
The entire Cyclodelic range is lovingly designed and produced by Amy Fleuriot in her London studio. We bribed her with cherry muffins and Flying Biscuit Cafe grits to convince her to produce our initial range, and have even more exciting things planned for 2012. Stay tuned.
